Housing and Homeless Services
HRN provides help to people and families in Trinity County that are currently unhoused, including providing connections to other resources and providing emergency shelter.
HRN has several homeless shelter units for individuals and families that need temporary housing while they are searching for permanent housing.

Support with Applying for Benefits
Need help with housing, food, or utilities? Our trained case managers can help you find and access the community services you need.
Call (530)623-2024 to set up an appointment and get help applying for services from other agencies, such as: CalFresh, birth certificates, Energy Net- Utility Assistance, HUD- Housing Choice Vouchers, and LIHEAP- Low Income Energy Assistance Program.

Transportation Assistance
We provide fuel vouchers and Trinity Transit passes to Trinity County residents who need help getting to medical or social service appointments.
To qualify, you must meet income requirements and provide proof of your appointment.
We also offer fuel reimbursement for volunteer drivers who transport clients to verified medical or social service appointments.
Drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and insurance. Both the client and driver must be present at the time of service.

Commercial Tobacco Use Prevention
The Tobacco Education Program advocates for policies that prevent commercial tobacco use in Trinity County and protect the community from secondhand smoke through education, community engagement, and leadership opportunities.

The Tobacco Education Program coordinates Partnership in Action for Trinity Health (PATH), a local coalition that works to improve the health of Trinity County residents. For more information and to find out how to get involved, visit PATH's website www.healthy-trinity.org

Rape Prevention and Education
The Rape Prevention and Education Program (RPE) is a public health initiative designed to prevent sexual violence before it starts.
The RPE program emphasizes engaging community members in creating safe, equitable environments that challenge harmful social norms. The program is currently focused on supporting economic stability and transforming gender norms to address the underlying causes of violence.

Youth Leadership Programs

Trinity Youth Action is a youth-led mental health advocacy group funded by the California Youth Empowerment Network (CAYEN) dedicated to raising awareness and creating positive change for youth mental health in our community through.

Through funding from Elevate Youth California (EYC), HRN supports a peer-to-peer mentoring program that pairs middle school students with high school mentors. This program fosters healthy peer relationships, builds youth leadership skills, and supports prevention of underage substance use.
