We Are Here For You
In these uncertain times, the Children's Services staff at HRN want to reach out and let you know we are here to help you. The COVID-19 crisis has affected each and every one of us. Staff are busy working to keep things going behind the scenes.
Childcare
Family Fees have been waived for the months of April, May and June. Enrollment and re-certification are still available via phone and email.
Many childcare providers have chosen to remain open, following careful cleaning and sanitation procedures to keep everyone safe and healthy.
For families looking for childcare, the state has announced a new search system at www.mychildcare.ca.gov. Childcare staff at HRN are also available to answer your questions at by email at hvandine@hrntrinity.org or phone at (530)623-2024 ext.1031.
Families looking for summer care will be happy to know registration packets are going out now and enrollment for our Weaverville All Summer Program will begin soon.
Parent Cafe and Children's Festival
Parent Cafes are being planned with a fun and new twist to comply with social distancing guidelines. Look for dates and information to come soon. Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the 29th Annual Children’s Festival, but we look forward to a fun event next year.
Preschool
Alps View State Preschool and Lewiston State Preschool remain closed at this time. Teachers are working hard to have fun packets available for students. Alps View families may pick up new packets each Monday from 10 am to 12 pm at the Human Response Network office at 111 Mountain View Street. Lewiston families may pick up their packets from Teacher Brittney on Mondays from 10 am to 11 pm at Lewiston Preschool. Be on the lookout for posts on our Alps View and Lewiston Preschool Facebook pages. If you have not already, go Like them now for all the great updates.
COVID-19 Information
There is a lot of information to sift through right now, and it can be hard to know where to look for the most up to date news. The Trinity County Public Health Department has created a site specific to COVID-19 response, www.trinitycounty.org/COVID-19. The State of California has created a dedicated website, www.covid19.ca.gov, with lists of local resources and ways you can help, as well as useful information on how to protect your home and family.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is a great resource with symptom checkers and solutions for staying safe and healthy, as well as how to keep your home clean and safe. Find out more at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/index.html .
Look for more updates to come.
Stay Healthy and Safe!
Your HRN Children's Services Staff
